تم اختيار مدينة بندر سيري بيغاوان، وهي عاصمة سلطنة بروناي، عاصمة للثقافة الإسلامية عن منطقة آسيا عام 2019، الذي سيشهد فعاليات كثيرة أهمها معرض للهندسة المعمارية والآثار وآخر عن القدس.

كيري يرفض تقييد الحركة ببحر جنوب الصين

قال وزير الخارجية الأميركي جون كيري إنه يأمل أن توقف الصين عمليات الردم ببحر جنوب الصين المتنازع عليه، وأكد أن هناك حاجة لوضع حد لعملية تحويل الموقع إلى منطقة عسكرية.

عاصمة بروناي دار السلام وأكبر مدنها، ومركز التجارة والصناعة فيها، دمرت في الحرب العالمية الثانية، ثم أعيد بناؤها. من أبرز معالمها مسجد عمر علي سيف الدين، وهو تحفة معمارية نادرة.
